Privacy Policy

Niroga collects the following data when you use our service:

• Account information — your email address and name, provided during signup or via Google sign-in.
• Conversation text — messages from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, captured only while the Niroga browser extension is active and monitoring is not paused.
• Analysis results — wellness scores, behavioral signals, coping tips, session summaries, and pattern data generated from your conversations.
• Usage metadata — timestamps, platform names (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), and conversation IDs needed to organize your dashboard. We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or browsing activity outside the supported AI platforms.

• Account data and analysis results are stored in a MongoDB database hosted on Emergent infrastructure.
• Conversation text is held in memory only long enough to send to the Anthropic Claude API for analysis. Once the analysis is returned, the raw conversation text is discarded. Only the resulting analysis is written to your account.
• All data in transit between your browser, our servers, and the Anthropic API is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS).
• Authentication uses JWT tokens. Your password, if you sign up via email, is hashed before storage. Niroga staff cannot read your password.

When you send a message on a supported AI platform, the Niroga extension captures the conversation text and sends it over HTTPS to our server. The server forwards it to the Anthropic Claude API, which returns a structured analysis (wellness score, behavioral signals, coping tips, summary).

Raw conversation text is not retained after analysis. Only the resulting analysis is stored in your account.

Per Anthropic's API terms, conversation text sent to the Claude API is not used to train Anthropic's models. See Anthropic's privacy policy for their handling details.

• Analysis results, account data, and dashboard history — retained as long as your account is active.
• Raw conversation text — discarded immediately after analysis. Not stored.
• Deleted data — when you clear data or delete your account, the data is permanently removed from our active database within 30 days. Routine database backups may retain copies for up to 30 additional days before they are overwritten.

• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.
• We do not use your data to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
• We do not manually read your conversations. Analysis is fully automated.
• We do not collect any data when Pause Monitoring is enabled.
• We do not track your activity outside the supported AI platforms.

You have full control over your data at every step:

• Pause monitoring at any time using the extension popup. No data is captured while paused.
• Sign out of the extension to stop all data collection immediately.
• Clear All Data directly from the Account Settings tab in your dashboard. This permanently deletes all your conversations, analysis history, and stored insights from your account. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
• Delete your account entirely by emailing abhinavyanambaka@gmail.com. All associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
• Export your data by emailing abhinavyanambaka@gmail.com. We will provide a copy of your analysis data within 30 days.

Niroga uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic Claude API — processes conversation text to generate behavioral analysis. Conversation text is sent over HTTPS, processed, and not retained by Anthropic for training. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
• MongoDB — stores your account data and analysis results.
• Emergent hosting — hosts our application infrastructure.
• Google Sign-In (optional) — used only if you choose to sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address, nothing else.

We protect your data through:

• HTTPS (TLS) encryption for all data in transit.
• JWT-based authentication with hashed passwords for email signup.
• Access controls limiting database access to authorized application services only.
• No human review of conversation content under normal operation.

Niroga is operated by a solo founder. While we follow industry-standard security practices, no system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security issue, please email it directly to abhinavyanambaka@gmail.com.

Niroga is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify active users by email and post the updated policy here with a new "Last updated" date.
